On January 2014 the 10th, in the famous Atlanta Fox Theater, Gregg Allman's friends paid him homage. Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks open the party with "Come and Go Blues" and "End of the Line" that give us so many regrets of the end of the Allman Brothers band. Susan comes and plays with her husband on a wonderful "Stand back". Derek is always at the top. Then a great moment with Devon Allman, the always young Jimmy Hall and the magician of the steel-guitar Robert Randolph on "You can't Lose what you ain't never had". Sam -Sam and Dave- gives a beautiful version of "Please Call Home" just before the funky Keb Mo on "Just Another Rider".

Then we get a nice "Before the Bullets Fly" sung by a country singer with a roots voice called Brantley Gilbert. Then arrives Dr John on "Let this be a lesson to ya" he wrote with Gregg on the album Playin' Up A Storm. The voodoo sorcerer is still wonderful! Pat Monahan "Queen of Hearts" can be forgotten, happily arrives John Hiatt on a great "One Way Out". Taj Mahal joins Gregg on "Statesboro Blues". Widespread Panic plays a too slow version of "Just ain't easy", happily arrives Derek Trucks on "Wasted Words". This first cd ends on "I'm no angel" by Trace Adkins, and Vince Gill "Trouble No More" and "Multi Colored Lady". People in the audience can go to the bar and buy a beer!

A beautiful Country female singer sings "All my Friends" and "Can You Fool". Back to the bar when Eric Church sings, but back to the roots with Gregg and Jackson Browne on "These days" and "Whipping Post".

All the musicians come back on stage for "Will the circle be unbroken".

At the end, we got an excellent concert with moments of pure magic but also some too long musical parts.
