This Liquid Groove Mojo is a very good surprise. This band is not really famous, but it seems that they sure will be soon well known in the Blues Rock world. They play in a bluesy way, close to Gov't Mule -but harder-, and to the Black Crowes (only in some songs), and they build their music around the two great guitar players Joe Pitts and Darren Davis. This band is one of the year 2005 revelations. First we can note the great sound of this 'Cradle to the Grave', and especially the guitar sound with fabulous slide parts (very close to Warren Haynes). You can listen to the nice "Long Walk" first chorus where you can hear that the mike sound is really really close to what usually does Allman and Gov't Mule guitarist. Then, with "High Price", Liquid Groove Mojo can prove that it is not only a blues band, but they can show they come from the South, with a 'Sweet Home Alabama' style Stratocaster touch. Another beautiful intro on "Hello Goodbye", with a crying and moving slide guitar, and the song "Cradle to the Grave" where guitar riffs look like Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition'. All the other songs ("Time is Running Out", "Sunshine", "Back to Memphis", etc…) are also at a very high level of quality and have to be listened as soon as possible!!
