For the majority of the Southern Rock fans, the Georgia Satellites have always been an interesting band. They were famous in the Atlanta clubs, but not because of that, and may fans (and me) have always thought that the basic Rock n’ Roll of the Georgia Satellites was close to the Southern bands, maybe because of the guitars feeling ? However, if the Georgia Satellites are always present without Dan Baird, this famous musician is still alive and well with the Dusters, the Yahoos or in solo, many fans enjoy that man with his Telecaster and his new album ! As soon as begins the first song “Damn Thing To Be Done”, we understand that the Georgia Satellites spirit is not too far away, and we do enjoy that. The sound and the rhythm guitar are so pure that we only can stomp our feet. It’s the same on “Two For Tuesday” (interesting title….). Another unusual rhythm guitar is present on “Just Can’t Wait”, with such a feeling also present on “Champagne Sparkle”, “Oh No There She Goes”, etc… These songs bring me to tell that this album is a real and great moment of Rock n’ Roll, but I’m not original because all the fans who know Dan Baird already know that he is true when he says “It’s only Rock n’ Roll but I like it !”!!!
