| If ever someone has forgotten them, with this new album we can say that the Fabulous Thunderbirds are back still alive and well on the Blues-Rock scene. It is a real concentrate of real Blues-Rock that present us today Kim Wilson and Steve Berlin band with this 'Painted On', a real pleasant come back. Always at his best Mr Blues in Texas and his band bring the Fabulous Thunderbirds at his best. What a great moment when we listen to good songs such as 'Wild Cherry' or the boogie 'You Torture Me'. I know the old musicians like Jimmie Vaughan are no more in the band, but Nick Curran job on guitar is remarkable and deserves to be supported. This album is incontestably the nice Blues-Rock surprise for this end of the year. John Molet |
