Don't Want You No More |
I want to talk to those who are looking for the rare and hard-to-find jewel, harder to discover than Hydra, Two Guns, Stillwater, Bandera, Missouri or Oklahoma that were famous a long time ago. And other bands were very good at the end of the 70s and at the beginning of the 80s, so was CROSSRODE. They issued a LP in 1980 that is now re-issued on CD, but still hard to discover. This CROSSRODE album has eight songs, in a kind of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet influences, and also a little bit like The Outlaws on the ten-minute song "Hard To Find", with two crazy guitars in the Green Grass and High Tides vein. Bene : I want to recommend you, in the same style, the very good live
CD of FOUNTAINHEAD (Live Renegades of Rock n' Roll - Toads Records US
1981), and in a more Country way, close to the Allman, Marshall Tucker,
Charlie Daniels Band, ROADSIDE BAND (Storms About To Brew - Southern
Star Records US 1981), band that was on tour with the Dave Chastain
Band, and at the end the serious OKLAHOMA THUNDER BAND (Flying High
Records US 1980). |
