Spinning my Wheels

If I had to choose my favourite month record, I sure have chosen this Fat Dixie “Spinning my Wheels”. This young band from Oklahoma is a real top group, Southern roots in a kind of Stoney LaRue with Little Texas, with a little bit of Skynyrd, Bon Jovi and Waylon Jennings.
So you can understand how good is that band. This album first song is “Blackroad” and it could have been played by Travis Tritt.
Vocals and guitars are really good. Then we get “Running you Down” and “Spinning my Wheels” that are always as good as the first song. Vocals are great and the three guitars can get their own places at the right moment. I enjoy so much this album that I listened to it many times, and it’s rare ! “Drive On” guitar intro and “Whiskey Rock Show” high quality only can confirm my first feelings. So in France, we often say that first feelings often are the best !
