Great idea from the italian label, Akarma, to re-release this from from 1980. A really really good southern rock album, mixing influences from the Marshall Tucker Band and the Allman Brothers Band (listen to "Sunshine", the voice is real close to Gregg's), full of great guitar solos, great twin guitar parts just a the Brothers did. The addition of a saxophone is not some we usually see in this kind of music, but here, it's for the good cause, it always adds something to the song. Let's note a great version of "One in the sun", popularized by Steve Gaines (Lynyrd Skynyrd). Sure, this album has to be discovered, or re-decovered !!! Dominique Turgot |
