Dixie Peach started as a band back in 1968 and unfortunately disbanded in 1975 (some band members were married and they had to choose between being on the road and live with their family). Nevertheless, they opened with great artists such as Joe Walsh, Blue Oyster Cult or Ted Nugent, among others. They kept in touch and in 1985, they had the idea of a reunion show. The same idea came back in 1998 and it was in 1999 that they decided it would become a yearly event. Then came the idea of recording an album, so was born "Butta", which is a mix of six original songs and some tributes to the Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix. When you listen to the guitar and slide work of Ira Stanley and the keyboards of Tony Paulus and Steve Williams, you certainly would have like this band to keep on playing music, but life choose an other way.
