The two bands having many common band members, we decided not to separate the two reviews.Fool Moon prposes us a 4 bluegrass song cd. Really great demo album, great sound.
The cd starts with a wonderful cover of the Eric Clapton's classis "Lay down Sally" with a great dobro solo. Then, we have a cover of "Heartbroke" (mostly known with Ricky Skaggs, with his "Live in London" album) with great dual harmonies between the guitar and the dobro. Tha last two songs show us beautiful vocals harmonies done in the purest bluegrass tradition.
The Cactus Pickers's album is also a very very interesting one, it takes its roots deep in country music, and also in bluesgrass. There's a really nice cover of "Hillbilly Rock", real close to the Marty Stuart's.
