It's been fifteen years since Natchez has been on the road and they're releasing their latest album, the seventh one, and what a great album ! Good old rock'n roll as we like it, with southern influences such as 38 Specials ("Paradis avec toi"). They even wrote, for the first time ever, their first ballade ("Rentrer à la maison") which shows us the melodic aspect of Manu's guitar playing. Great guitar riffs, powerful lyrics, nice guitars, what else can you want ? Just be able to hear and see them live, where they reach for sure an other dimension, communicating with their growing audience the joy and the pleasure they have to be on stage. Hats off sirs and keep on rocking ! Dominique Turgot |

When my buddy Manu called me and told me about their wishes to release an accoustic album, I was really sceptical. I had no doubt about having Natchez's music played accoustically, but I wasn't sure of the result when I knew they were not going to enter in the studio, but recording this album with their own equipment. I must admit I was wrong, and these "indians" from Champagne are really great people when you hear the result of their work. Some songs such as "Seul avec ma guitare" ou "L'homme des hautes plaines" and its harmonica's part are getting a kind of a new dimension and a new atmosphere. As these guys have a great respect for their loved bands, they add two covers, "Sweet home Alabama" from the Lynyrd Skynyrd band, and "Ramblin'" from the Allman Brothers band, with great slide and guitar parts from Manu, and a great voice work from his brother Thierry with so much feeling and sincerity. You also get this powerful rhythmn section with Andre on the bass and Benjamin on the drums. Well, Natchez is certainly one of the major bands in France and we're quite impatient about their next album due to be released inmarch or april. ONe more thing...only 500 copies of this album have been printed so hurry up if you wanna get a chance to get it. Dominique Turgot |
